Home / Windows Server support
Windows Server, Active Directory and VPN support for small offices.
One office server, the staff logins, a VPN for people working from home and a NAS full of shared files: when one of them breaks, the whole office stops. I look after them remotely, back the server up every day and tell you in plain English what I did.
What I look after
For small offices with a server or NAS and no IT person of their own.
Windows Server
Updates, disk space, services that stopped, and the event logs read when something fails.
Active Directory and logins
New and departing staff, password resets, locked accounts, groups and folder permissions.
VPN for remote staff
VPN access from home set up and fixed on business firewalls such as Cisco, Meraki, SonicWALL and WatchGuard.
NAS and shared drives
Shared drives nobody can open, a NAS that stopped answering, permissions that went wrong.
Server and NAS backup
Full image backup checked every day, with a test restore every 3 months so you know it works.
Moves and upgrades
An old server to a new one, or file shares and email to Microsoft 365. You get a fixed quote first.
Price
Month to month. Cancel with 30 days notice.
Care Plan: Server add-on
Windows Server or NAS
- Full image backup
- Backup checked every day
- Test restore every 3 months

The computers too
The Server add-on covers the server or NAS. For the office computers, add a Care Plan: Home Office $39 a month for up to 2 computers, or Small Office $25 per computer a month (3 minimum), each with cloud backup and remote support. Extra remote time is $60 an hour, billed in 15-minute steps, only with your OK. Bigger jobs like a server move get a fixed quote first.
Who looks after your server
Me, Angel. More than 15 years in IT: 7 years as an IT director, 3 years as a senior network engineer at a managed IT provider (firewalls, VPNs and more than 50 server and email migrations for small and mid-size clients), then 4 years as a Tier 2 support engineer at Acronis, the backup software company. Cisco CCNA Security and Microsoft 365 admin. English and Spanish.
Only the computers need help? See remote IT support. Only backups? See managed backup monitoring.
Questions
Do you come on site?
No. Everything is done remotely, which keeps prices low. If a problem needs hands on the hardware, I tell you before you pay anything.
Is it safe to let you connect to the server?
I only connect when you ask or approve, and every session is logged in the monthly email. If you leave, I hand over the backup account or a copy of your files.
Server, VPN or NAS acting up?
Tell me what you run (server, NAS, firewall) and what's wrong, and I'll reply with what I'd do and the price, usually the same day.
